Holds and held executive and senior advisory roles with Ivanhoe Mines, Rio Tinto, Peabody Energy and Duke Energy. Carolina Rush President, CEO and Director since 2017. Erdene Resource Development independent Director since 2015 and Chair of the Board since 2019. BA from UNC-Chapel Hill; MA from School for International Training; MA from Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Patrick Quigley

Exploration Manager and Senior Geologist

Mining geologist with 15 years of professional experience as consulting and project geologist in the US and Latin America, including on a large high-sulphidation epithermal gold project similar to Brewer. BS from University of Minnesota; MSc from Colorado School of Mines. Based in Michigan.

Mark McMurdie

CFO

Over 30 years of accounting and finance experience serving public and private companies. Mr. McMurdie is also Chief Financial Officer for TSX Venture listed, Sylla Gold Corp. and CSE listed KO Gold Inc. Over his career, Mr. McMurdie has acquired valuable experience in several sectors including mining, franchising, oil and gas, merchant banking, distribution and real estate.

A former professional accountant (CPA:CMA) who resigned in 2022. Based in Ontario.

Jen Spohn

Administration & Data Manager

Senior manager and geologist with more than 20+ years of project data management and GIS/AutoCAD experience. 10+ years of professional experience leading project support teams for multiple companies and gold exploration programs in the Brewer-Haile area. BS from State University of New York at Brockport. Based in Pittsboro, North Carolina.

Jeanny So

Corporate Communications Manager

Senior consultant and corporate affairs professional with 20+ years of global professional experience in the minerals and mining industry. Manages RUSH’s investor relations, strategic marketing, digital media and external affairs. Based in Toronto, Ontario.

Laurie Curtis

Independent Director

Dr. Curtis, based in Ontario, is a mining executive, Professional Geologist and economic geochemist with more than 40 years of global experience in exploration and mine development. He was Founder, Director and Chief Executive Officer of Intrepid Minerals and Intrepid Mines from 1995 to 2008, which discovered the Tujuh Bukit high sulfidation gold-copper porphyry deposit in Indonesia. He has consulted for major mining companies across gold, copper, uranium and nickel in Latin America, Australia and the Arctic, and previously worked as a mining research analyst with Clarus Securities and Dundee Capital Markets. He currently serves as Board Chair of TSX-listed Excellon Resources.

Don MacLean

Independent Director

Mr. MacLean, based in Ontario, is a mining engineer who has spent more than 40 years working in capital markets, where he is one of the most experienced precious metals analysts. He has worked as Senior Analyst and Partner with Paradigm Capital since 2003, prior to which he worked for Deutsche Bank, BMO-Nesbitt Burns and CIBC-Wood Gundy. He is highly regarded for his ability to identify promising exploration and development companies in the gold sector. His research emphasizes geologic and economic potential in companies with strong management, comparing risks and opportunities. Don also enjoys drawing on his gold team’s extensive experience to help investors understand the many macro factors that influence the gold equity market.

Brahm Spilfogel

Independent Director

Mr. Spilfogel, based in Ontario, is an award-winning financial executive with more than 25 years of experience in resource portfolio management. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at RBC Global Asset Management, where he co-managed several resource-focused funds, including the RBC Global Precious Metal Fund, RBC Global Resources Fund, and the RBC Small and Mid-Cap Resources Fund, with assets exceeding $2 billion. Recognized as one of Canada’s leading resource portfolio managers, Mr. Spilfogel has worked extensively with corporate boards, contributing strategic insights on governance, safety, and sustainability. His expertise spans financial analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets across the global resources sector.

 

William (Billy) Webster IV

Independent Director

Mr. Webster, based in South Carolina, is a retired business and civic executive who built and sold four companies, creating thousands of jobs. He served as White House Fellow in the George H.W. Bush administration, Senior Aide to President Bill Clinton, and Chief of Staff for both the Governor of South Carolina and the U.S. Secretary of Education. He has served as an independent director of NASDAQ-listed Golub Capital BDC since 2010, currently chairing the audit committee. He is Adjunct Professor of health care policy at Wofford College and is actively involved in philanthropic and community initiatives.

Mr. Croft, based in North Carolina, is a mining executive and entrepreneur with more than 30 years of global professional experience, including 22 years in minerals exploration and project development. He has held senior roles with Ivanhoe Mines, Rio Tinto, Peabody Energy and Duke Energy, and has served as an independent director of TSX-listed Erdene Resource Development since 2015, and as Board Chair since 2019. He has led Carolina Rush since April 2017, securing the Brewer Gold-Copper Project in 2020 and establishing the Company’s strategic partnership with OceanaGold in 2025.

David Burrows

Technical Advisor

Former Chief Geologist, Global Exploration at Vale and previously Inco, with 30+ years of global exploration experience across porphyry copper, gold, Ni-Cu-PGE, uranium, and IOCG systems. Extensive work on porphyry Cu-Au-(Mo) and high-sulphidation epithermal deposits in Indonesia, the Philippines, Peru, and Chile. Member of the Onto Cu-Au discovery team, awarded the PDAC Thayer Lindsley Award in 2025. Holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Economic Geology from the University of Toronto and a B.A. in Natural Sciences (Geology) from Trinity College Dublin.

Mining geologist with 45+ years of global experience who discovered the world’s largest undeveloped uranium deposit. Former CEO of High River Gold; led multiple gold projects and mines in Canada, West Africa and Russia. Has served as independent director of multiple exploration and mining companies. Co-founder and director of Pancon. BSc from Acadia University. Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. 

Philip Corriher

Strategic Advisor

Philip began investing in historic gold properties in North Carolina after a career in the international crude oil trading business as VP of Risk Management for a privately owned trading firm. Born and raised in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, and having graduated from North Carolina State University as a Park Scholar and Centennial Scholar, Philip moved with his family back home after living and working in New York City for more than a decade. In 2015, Philip founded Carolina Mining Company in order to consolidate the most prospective historic gold, silver and base metals mines of North Carolina. Carolina Mining Company now controls more than 5,000 acres of surface and mineral rights in the Piedmont, about 100 kilometers north of the Brewer Gold Project on the same prolific and underexplored Carolina Slate Belt.
